Climate Resilient Farming

by Laura Legnick and New Roots KC

Summary

Climate change is impacting growers of all sizes around the world. Changing precipitation patterns, longer and hotter summers, shifting pest pressures, are just a few of the factors impacting small growers disproportionately. This lesson plan provides an introduction to climate change, and offers strategies small growers can use to mitigate the risk to their small businesses. These materials, including the presentation, interview role play activity sheet, and instructor guide, are intended for use by farmer trainers in a classroom setting. Present the Media Training PowerPoint presentation using the Instructor Guide to inform discussion and activities contained within the presentation.
